Join us on February 16th or March 2nd, from 9 a.m. until noon when Dr. M. Lynn Barnes, a dress historian and curator of several collections, will conduct  a demonstration of uniform preservation and storage. The workshops are designed to assist you with storing your uniform.  If you would like to purchase a uniform preservation kit, you are invited to attend a workshop that will teach you how to accurately store your uniform in order to preserve its legacy.  Your fee of $49.90 includes one acid-free uniform storage box, 25 sheets of acid-free unbuffered tissue paper, acid-free identification tags, textile instruction pamphlet, and a pair of cotton gloves to keep your uniform clean while handling. You will need to supply your own uniform. Payment for the workshop is due on February 10th, 2013.

A piece of The World Trade Center recently acquired by the museum is now permanently displayed at the Miami Valley Veteran’s Museum.
